The mission of verymeri is to create a thriving, international design company that gives a voice to children of all ages, through whimsical and uplifting clothing, while promoting the arts and building self-esteem.
Meri Zeiff has been a first grade teacher for the past eight years, in Hollywood, California. She started her teaching career as a way to spend time with children while pursuing a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology to become a child therapist. Eight years later, she has since received her Masters as well as her teaching credential. To the delight of her students and children everywhere, Meri created verymeri, a children’s clothing company for the playground and beyond!
verymeri is a children’s clothing company created by kids for kids. Every day for a year, Meri would go to the playground of her shcool during recess and ask the students, “If you could have anything you want written on a shirt, what would it say?” A list of over 100 ideas was created. After a series of votes and kid think-tanks, verymeri was born.
verymeri is dedicated to Meri’s first grade class of 2005-2006 at Temple Israel Day School of Hollywood. A percentage of sales goes to Free Arts For Abused Children, a non-profit organization that provides art services to at-risk children and families throughout the United States.
